Before BBH, I actually had a completely different career path. I spent several years working as a mining foreman up in North Queensland — hard yakka in the heat, managing crews and keeping operations running smoothly. It taught me so much about leadership, logistics, and just getting things done. But my heart was always in fashion, and eventually I took the leap.
These days, alongside running the boutique, I also work as an online casino analyst. I've always been a bit of a numbers person (probably from the mining days!) and I genuinely enjoy reviewing and testing casino platforms. It's a side of me most people don't expect, but I love the analytical side of it — comparing bonuses, checking payout speeds, making sure everything is fair and legit for Aussie players.
My whole working life I have worked across so many different industries — from mining to fashion to online gaming. As well as the desire to boost women's self-esteem and have access to a never-ending fabulous wardrobe... I am passionate about limiting the very progressive culture of "Fast Fashion." After all, unfortunately women today (myself included) are accustomed to wearing an outfit only once or twice, I think we have social media to thank for that! But seriously, what a waste!
That's why I think it's such a brilliant idea to share my wardrobe and style with other beautiful women who have similar taste and appreciate these beautiful designers and brands. "I just love that feeling you get when you put the perfect outfit on and your confidence just oozes out of you, that feeling is something special and I believe every woman should feel like that as often as possible."
This really is a dream come true, starting BBH in my family home, my goal is to one day have my own Boutique/Showroom here in Cairns. I love giving great customer service and I hope you can fall in love with some of our beautiful pieces the same way I did.
